Baptism

The baptism of infants and children is normally celebrated during one of the weekend Masses. Parents/Guardians are required to attend a special class that is arranged by appointment through the parish office. Click for additional information about baptism.

First Communion

The children of our parish typically celebrate their First Communion near the completion of the second grade. Normally, children are expected to have completed at least two years of religious education and must be enrolled in the program specifically designed to prepare them for this important step in their spiritual journey. Students will be prepared for and celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation in anticipation of their First Communion. Click for information about first communion.

Confirmation

In conformity with the Decree of the Diocesan Bishop, the young people of our parish are prepared during their eighth-grade catechism classes. The sacrament is normally celebrated in the fall semester of the students freshman year of high school. Click for information about confirmation.

Marriage

Members of the parish who seek to celebrate their marriage at Resurrection must contact the parish at least six months in advance. All norms established by the Diocese of Rockford must be observed. For more information, consult rockforddiocese.org. Click for information about marriage.
